Angie Amaya Simpson had two cases on this morning. One 2017 case (petty theft from Safeway) and one 2018 case (charges listed below)

Judge Marjorie Carter refused to release her on OR today. She was released on supervised release. She has to wear an ankle monitor, submit to substance abuse and mental health treatment and seek employment.

Today, in court, Deputy District Attorney Brent Kling asked that Simpson's alleged victim's name be corrected to Anna Tirador Vega. Judge Carter told Simpson she cannot leave the County without permission from probation and she cannot leave the State without permission from the Court.

"The County is not responsible for your food, clothing and shelter," said Judge Carter.

Mr. Kling did object to Simpson's release.  Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield is representing Simpson.

Granted Simpson has 21 cases listed in the Humboldt Superior Court system ; not all are criminal cases. There are handful of dismissals, the charges in her criminal cases are misdemeanors except for the recent felony. Simpson was arrested for charges ranging from assault, drugs to disorderly conduct. Simpson does not have any charge of fleeing the crime scene or manslaughter, Marci Kitchen does.

She has a previous arrest from Mendocino County. Charge public intoxication.
