EPD officers get an early Christmas gift in August

Former Eureka City Councilmember and local businessman Chet Albin was one of several community members who donated funds so EPD officers could purchase custom fitted external vest carriers.

EPD Chief Steve Watson thanked Mr. Albin and shared these photos:

"Thank you to Chet Albin and about a dozen other community members who donated funds so that officers could purchase custom fitted external vest carriers. These carriers allow officers to wear their duty gear on their upper body, greatly reducing the weight and stress on their lower back and hips. It’s been like Christmas in August!  Thank you!"
