I asked the Building and Planning Department about alleged kickbacks and favors for certain growers, read their response

Received a tip about alleged "kickbacks and favors that were done for certain growers trying to go through the permit process by one of the building inspectors." 

I was given at least one employee's name, Patrick McTigue. I was told he is currently on leave on medical leave. I was told more than one person is involved.

While employee confidentiality prevents the County from telling me what kind of leave, I reached out to the building and planning department as well as the County for comment. 

I also asked them if any  investigation was being conducted regarding these allegations.


Mr. John Ford sent me this response:

"Mr. McTigue is currently employed by the county but is on a leave of absence.  Any inappropriate conduct will be investigated and appropriate action taken. "
