Concerned and Hermit left these comments on Lost Coast Outpost's yesterday about the proposal to combine County's finance departments. The commenters on that thread made all the points why this proposal was a bad idea. Today, as I passed by the Auditor Controller's office, the door is covered and taped up with a big asbestos sign. I almost took a photo. I had not seen these comments until a reader reached out to me about my KPD posts.

I have never had health issues until I worked for the County for CWS in Mod G. They fought me tooth and nail as they do other employees. There are so many people constantly sick who work at the Courthouse and other buildings that have never had health issues before. I am certainly not going to share what people told me in confidence. My health has declined since then, some for other reasons. Fighting the County or the Courts or any of the good ole boys in this County is a futile effort even if you have money and excellent lawyers. The ones in this County won't take such cases. All of a suden, the County is doing ADA work in several buildings and sending out bids when they can't even get restrooms completed on time and the deadline has already been extended once.
