DA will not retry Pamela Millsap for voluntary manslaughter, sentencing on other counts scheduled for December

 

Yesterday at trial confirmation for voluntary manslaughter suspect Pamela Millsap, Judge Kaleb Cockrum was informed that the People do not intend retry Millsap for Count 1, voluntary manslaughter. That count was dismissed by the People. The 11/27 date was vacated. Sentencing on all other counts is scheduled for December 18.

In July, the jury in Millsap's case was deadlocked on Count 1 voluntary manslaughter. They had verdicts on all other counts. Millsap was remanded into custody on a no bail status. I covered the verdict in detail in my last post.
