Jury selection is currently going on in Alison Nichols' lawsuit against Dr. Erik Jansson. The alleged medical malpractice lawsuit was filed in 2018. Humboldt courts switched to a different e court system so very few documents are available electronically. I have included some documents some recent court documents.
Nichols was former DA Paul Gallegos' campaign manager in 2006 and is the former executive director of the Emerald Growers Association. Dr. Jannsson is a local ophthalmologist.
You can google Nichols and Dr. Jansson . Court records and documents do not list middle names. I saw Nichols with one of her attorneys, Mr. Dustin Owens. I also saw Dr. Jansson who chose to go with a Sacramento attorney, Ms. Kat Todd and according to court records, his original Ms. Amelia Burroughs was "substituted out" but she was on the second floor today near Courtroom 3 and her name is still on a November 3 brief filed by the defense. I saw her on 11/6 and she is still co-counsel so court records are incorrect and worded in a misleading way.
