PG&E recently awarded major grants to three North Coast organizations – two in Humboldt County and one in Lake County.
Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California in Lake County will receive a $100K grant to develop and implement a project to protect native plants and animals on tribal land.
Willow Creek Youth Partnership DBA Dream Quest in Humboldt County will receive a $25K grant to assess the resilience needs and partners for a future community youth center.
Playhouse Arts/CUNA (Communidad Unida del Norte de Arcata/Community United of North Arcata) in Humboldt County will receive a grant for $100K to design and build a resilience hub including backup power, filtered air, coordinated communication, food and water distribution, and disaster preparedness training.
