Lifetime sex offender registration for Benjamin Pesch and "he cannot wipe this off his record"

Alleged molestor Benjamin Pesch entered a conditional plea on November 7. He pleaded guilty  PC 288 (c) (1) with execution of sentence suspended. As I reported last time, Pesch had to agree to this to resolve his case because this means "he cannot wipe this off his record." He also had to agree  to lifetime sex offender registration to resolve his case.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm appeared on the case for Deputy DA Carolyn Schafer. The People agreed not to file charges for John Doe 2.

Mr. Zach Curtis is Pesch's attorney. Sentencing is scheduled for 1/22/24.

1/22/24: Sentencing continued to 2/22 at DA's request to respond to statement of mitigation.
