"The only reason I am voting in this election is for Karen Paz Dominguez" is what I have heard over and over in the last month from different people who are reading several media sources.
Who knows what will happen in tomorrow's election. It depends on who shows up to vote, who has mailed their ballot.
What the bullies on the BOS, the County employees, the Humboldt Connected in their bubble don't realize is there are more of us who have experienced what you bullies are doing to Karen. There are more of us suffering because of your pettiness, retaliation, bad choices and failed leadership. Who do you think voters trust and believe? Your mouthpieces or their own experiences? The drivel you shovel or people watching out for the public interest?
Carol, glad to be on the same team with you. The average person on the street wants to vote in the local election because they are disgusted with the way the BOS is treating Karen Paz Dominguez. The DA and Judge races are the ones that concern the average person most. From the richest to the working Joe/Jane, that is what people have been asking me about. I can only hope people mail in their ballots and show up tomorrow.
Eric, you are correct in asking that the County should say who posts the grand jury reports.
Hank, the report was posted on the county website. It is on the county website. The grand jury has the courthouse address, it is a part of the judicial branch yet meets right next to the BOS chambers and near the CAO’s office. The confusion is created by the overlap of the courts renting/sharing space and no one informing the public. I was told the reason masks are not required in the hallway but are in the courtrooms is because the hallways are part of the county. I dont think it is doofusdum when the County and Courts create the confusion. The report was posted on humboldt.gov which is the county website. Instead of focusing on the website, the real story is that certain members of the BOS, County department heads and employees have tried to use the local media by making the news cycle about the Auditor Controller on a regular basis. Some chose to focus on the BOS’ timeline and only that news story. Some of us chose to do more. Ms. Paz Dominguez is not the only one with concerns. Instead of only asking her questions, where is the same scrutiny on Rex, HCSO and other County departments ? That coverage seems to be coming from independent, solo reporting while those of you with tons of resources only seem to ask Ms. Paz Dominguez for evidence. By now, the County departments know the concerns Ms. Paz Dominguez raised so it maybe too late.
