A contested hearing set regarding restitution to Tyson Claros' family

(Claros)

A hearing for restitution owed to Tyson Claros' family from Hector Godoy-Standley, Tamara Thomson and Brandon Mitchell was continued to this morning.

Standley is represented by Mr. Russ Clanton, Thomson by Mr. David Nims and Mitchell by Ms. Andrea Sullivan. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor.

All attorneys appeared via Zoom. Godoy-Standley appeared via video conferencing from jail. Mitchell is in state prison. Thomson's appearance was waived by Mr. Nims.

A contested hearing has been set with a tentative date in July with a time estimate of an hour and a half. A pre-trial hearing for July 16.

People submit on Probation's supplemental report. Defense has burden to challenge.

Judge Christopher Wilson said he needs case authorities from attorneys. His decision will be based on "what is reimburseable and what is not."

For those not familiar with the case, this is the Manila five codefendant homicide case.
