According to the Sacramento Bee, two people were killed and at least four others were wounded after a gunman drove his SUV into a Red Bluff Walmart distribution center. The gunman then opened fire on workers during a shift change.
"Two Red Bluff police officers opened fire on the suspect, who was carrying an “AR-type weapon”.
The gun ahad fired multiple shots at the officer. Th suspect rammed his vehicle into the facility, the vehicle caught fire, then the man began shooting at workers, according to multiple witnesses.
According to the Red Bluff News, the shooting took place around 3:30 p.m. during a shift change.
The officers have been placed on administrative leave following the shhoting as it is standard protocol. The Tehama County DA is investigating.
