So Billy and Rex, is it ok for this security supervisor to not work, be abusive and not wear a face covering?

Kudos to CAO Amy Nilsen for her prompt response. What is your excuse Rex and Billy?

We are all busy. Rex, you and Billy are usually responsive but there is no reason or excuse when you are given a deadline about safety concerns to not respond and just ignore it. Both of you couldn't even send a response saying, "I am working on it."

See response from Rex and HCSO Lt. Mike Fridley in 6/24 update below.

I sent an email to CAO Nilsen and First District Supervisor Rex Bohn earlier today. Ms. Nilsen responded right away and forwarded my concerns to the Sheriff. I specifically asked for a response by the end of the business day and for the issue to be addressed or I would post on my blog after 5 p.m. I sent a follow up email to Ms. Nilsen and Sheriff Honsal at 4:20 p.m.

I have linked a post I did last year about Securitas, a security company with a local office hiring local employees being replaced by American Guard Services, effective Dec 1, 2019. AGS' corporate office is in Los Angeles and other offices  in San Diego and Oakland.

They are costing us more. They can barely maintain staffing and keep sending supervisors from other offices with their inner city attitude who sit on their butts while former Securitas employees hired by AGS are doing all the work. It is costing the County more to have AGS do security.

In my first email, I stated  that I was not happy with the change with American Guard as the new company. However, I dealt with the change.

"While the constant and different supervisors they send up here  vary in their attitude, the one they have up here this week needs someone to talk with him asap. I dont know if more than one person is here so the description of race is only because he has no name tag he is the tall African-American/black supervisor".

"They are costing more money than the last security company which is paid by us the taxpayers. I let it go yesterday and this is the second day it is even worse. 1. His attitude and rudeness needs to be adjusted asap. 2  He isnt getting paid to sit and watch inappropriate videos on his cell phone while he is working. He does nothing but sit while Lee is doing all the work 3. He has been rude to me,; attorneys 4. If he slams down my cell phone one more time, the County can pay for a new phone and any other damage. 5.He is hostile, unapproachable and glares at everyone. It isn't just me. He did this to attorneys, (yesterday to one out of the area), court staff and people entering the Courthouse. None of us are doing anything wrong.

"I am not putting up with some wannabe cop, angry, unprofessional jerk nor should anyone else. Whatever chip he has on his shoulder, he needs to deal with it on his own time."

My second email was telling Billy that I talked with others and they shared the same experiences. I also mentioned that as I left the Courthouse today at 4, he almost approached me, then saw others around me and left.

This guy doesn't smile; does not acknowledge a greeting. If he does speak, he is insulting and abusive and he slams everyone's belongings on the table. He wears a gun which no other security guard has and he follows people around with no basis and does discriminate on basis of race. He has not worn a face covering for the two days he has been here.

Your salary and benefits Rex, Billy and for this asshole are paid by our taxes.

6/24: "I have had an issue and forwarded on to the company."

HCSO Lt. Mike Fridley who, among other things, is in charge of security, has addressed this with AGS. This particular supervisor will be gone tomorrow.
