Wesley Starritt found "not competent to stand trial"

Receipt of Dr. Wilson's report was scheduled this morning for Wesley Starritt. Criminal proceedings have been suspended in several of Starritt's cases. His charges include murder of Mitch Clark and assaulting a correctional deputy while he is jail.

Dressed in a red jumpsuit meaning he is still in admin segregation, with his hands cuffed behind his back, Starritt was in the jail video conferencing room with two extra correctional deputies.

He answered yes to Judge Timothy Canning giving his consent to appear via video conferencing. Dr. Wilson found Starritt "not competent to stand trial."

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads and Deputy Public Defender Jennie Stepanian submitted on Dr. Wilson's report.

A referral was made to County Mental Health for evaluation of meds and to CONREP for placement. Next court date is July 14.
