Patrick McTigue's case looks like it is going to resolve, should know any minute

The particular plea offer made earlier this morning was was rejected. The preliminary hearing was continued to March 5. The case may still resolve.

After talking to victims and getting new information, Deputy District Attorney A.J. Kamada asked the matter be continued so that the DA can further investigate. Mr. Kamada said the victims did not think the offer earlier this morning was "a fair plea."

Mr. Neal Sanders "reluctantly submitted" to the continuance. He told Judge Timothy Canning he needed to see what this new information was and then discuss with his client.

Intervention is now scheduled for February 7.

Prior to the break, the preliminary hearing for Patrick McTigue looked like it was going to resolve. This was before break.

Twice after talking to Deputy District Attorney A.J. Kamada, Mr. Neal Sanders spoke privately with McTigue. "We are in discussions," Mr. Sanders told Judge Canning. "We are pretty close to a resolution."

The offer was to plead guilty to Count 1, Harvey Reservation for rest of the counts with restitution.

McTigue is charged with four counts of soliciting a bribe and two counts of grand theft.

Mr. Sanders filled out a plea form. Mr. Kamada talked with witnesses and victims, this included Building and Planning Director John Ford.
