Former tv station employee charged with molesting his stepdaughters, his church supporters, HCSO and CWS called out in court today

Further trial confirmation was scheduled for alleged molestor Mark Dare this morning. He is charged with molesting his own stepdaughters. Dare's bail was reduced by a Visiting Judge and he is out of custody.

As expected with Public Defender Marek Reavis in a homicide trial, Dare's jury trial scheduled for January 28 was vacated. Trial setting is scheduled for February 27. Mr. Reavis told Judge Wilson "we are still investigating."

Despite objections by Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer and the victims and their biological father, Judge Wilson had to vacate the January trial. "Obviously, it is frustrating. I don't really have any choice."

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer read a letter from Jane Doe #1 and Jane Doe #2's father. "I heard that court maybe delayed. My kids are living in a prison and he is living his life." The biologocal dad,  D. W. said that Dare was not complying with the restraining order, he was fed up with Dare's supporters from Seventh Day  Adventist church and "starting to doubt the system." D. W. said "If Humboldt County Sheriff and CWS had done their job " when they were first contacted about these allegations, "we wouldn't be here today.

Mr. Reavis objected to the letter being read. Judge Wilson said by law, victims have the right to be heard.

If you have been following my coverage of the case, you know he was employed at a local TV station, the girls' own mother is standing by him over her own daughters and the antics of his supporters. No other media has covered this case besides the initial press release.
