St. Louis police officer Katlyn Alix killed during a Russian roulette-style game

Nathaniel Hendren was charged yesterday with involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action. The victim, Katlyn Alix, was also St. Louis police officer who died during a Russian roulette-style game.

A statement was provided by Sgt. Richard Hellmeier, Hendren's partner, who was on-duty and with the two officers at the time of the shooting.

Sgt. Richard Hellmeir contacted me on February 4. He wanted me to do add this to the post. ABC news was incorrect in their reporting and amended their article. This is ome great example of why mainstream media isn't always accurate. Never had this issue wirh my own reporting.


"The ABC article was not accurate relative to my role in this incident.  I was not Officer Hendrens partner, nor was I at the scene. "


"I'm in Internal Affairs and was involved in the investigation after it occurred.  I signed the Probable Cause statement. This was my only role."
