As expected, Ewa Misztal entered her plea to two added counts; voluntary manslaughter as well as child endangerment and abuse.
The agreement is for potential sentence upto 11 years. The prosecutor in the case, Ms. Carolyn Schaffer, said, " It is our hope, Ms. Misztal be confined not in state prison but a state mental hospital" and get treatment.
The People wanted Misztal to be evaluated from the beginning but it took a while to get the defense and Misztal to agree.
The case has been referred to CONREP for recommendation. Next court hearing March 6.
