As expected, Sotolongo jury trial vacated with appointment of new attorney

Trial confirmation was scheduled this morning for Gearold Sotolongo. Jury trial is scheduled for March 26 was vacated.

Setting on  March 15 at 8:30 a.m in Courtroom 3. Jury trial estimate 4 to 6 weeks

Sotolongo is charged with the death of Roger Yale.

This was expected as Sotolongo's attorney was Judge Kelly Neel. Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield has taken over the case.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is prosecuting the case.
