When will actual testimony start in the Jon Goldberg trial?

Day 4 of jury selection for Jon Goldberg. Before 4 p.m., they had 6 men and 6 women in the jury and four alternates.

Around p.m, the defense excused a juror, then while trying to fill that seat, all the alternate jurors that had just gone through lengthy questioning by the defense for about an hour were excused. Prosecution excused one juror; defense four.

While this is a serious case, the defense questioning is lengthy and at times irrelevant and just chat. To the point that Judge Graham Cribbs had to get the questioning back on focus, at one point.

With both sides needing to question six new people, will jury selection be complete, even on Monday?

Today, was the first opportunity I had to sit and watch both attorneys question jurors. They say one shouldn't guess why a juror is excused.

However, the defense excused three men, all reasonable and with an open mind on the case and the one thing they they all had in common: knowledge of firearms and are individuals that won't be intimidated.

Peremptory challenges are legal but if the defense who has a psychiatrist, a ballistic expert and a cell phone expert feels the need to stack the jury in their favor, it says a lot about the strength of their case.
