Hikshari trail suspect held to answer for assault of Tammy Fontaine

Hikshari trail suspect Jennifer Willey's was held to answer on charges of assault and inflicting great bodily injury. The preliminary could be summed up in two words: "transient drama."

Count 1 is assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm. Special allegation is inflicting great bodily injury. Alleged victim is Tammy Fontaine.

EPD Detective Bise testified about the eye witness who called 911 after she saw Willey and Fontaine fight and then Fontaine yell, "I have been stabbed."

Detective Bise also testified about what Willey said was her motive for confronting Fontaine. According to Jennifer Willey, her husband Jason Willey claimed Fontaine confronted him earlier in the day about being a sex registrant and that Fontaine did not want him around her. Jennifer Willey then confronted Fontaine and told her that Fontaine did not have all the facts and needed to stop talking about stuff she had no clue about and called Fobtaine a "shyster bitch." The two then got into a fight.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Barnes is prosecuting the case. Mr. David Celli was appointed to represent Willey after both Conflict Counsel and the Public Defender's office had a conflict.

Arraignment on information is on March 7.

Willey has shaved off her mohawk and red hair.
