Jon Goldberg's murder trial "trailing" another jury trial day by day, may start Wednesday

Jon Goldberg's 2016 case and 2017 cases have been consolidated. In 2016,  Goldberg was arrested and charged with the murder of Tim Smith .

Goldberg's jury trial was scheduled to start today in Courtroom 2. It is trailing another jury trial (Rafael Martinez) on a day to day basis. It is expected to start on Wednesday, February 7.

Preliminary hearings were held in both cases. The alleged victim in the case filed in 2017 was his wife Rachel Goldberg who refused to testify.
