EPD officer Wayne Rabang and SWAP did a clean sweep of Harris Street

"In response to complaints of illegal camping, garbage disposal, and other public safety concerns near the Harris Street ramp, EPD and SWAP conducted a clean-up on February 7th and 8th.  In an effort to address as many concerns as possible, the dense foliage was removed and the existing trees/bushes were sculpted. This uncovered over 3,000 pounds of garbage that we had to remove. These garbage/foliage efforts reduce fire threats and allows for the area to maintain its natural beauty, while at the same time opens the space up for officers to more easily see illegal activities.
Officer Rabang focuses on these kind of clean-up projects throughout Eureka full time thanks to funds from Measure Z."
