Former Miss Hoopa's jury trial for alleged sexual abuse vacated for July 26
Trial confirmation for Kayla Brown, former Miss Hoopa, was continued by stipulation to June 12. On that day, the jury trial of June 19 was vacated. Trial setting is scheduled for July 26.
Brown is charged with four counts of alleged sexual abuse, including abnormal sexual interest in children. The alleged victim is female. Brown is represented by Mr. Ben McLaughlin.
The jury trial is scheduled for June 19. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is prosecuting the case.
