Former Miss Hoopa's jury trial confirmation continued to next week

Former Miss Hoopa, Kayla Brown's jury trial confirmation was scheduled for today, June 7 in Courtroom 1.

By stipulation, trial confirmation has been continued to 8:30 on June 12.


Brown is charged with four counts of alleged sexual abuse, including abnormal sexual interest in children.  The alleged victim is female. Brown is represented by Mr. Ben McLaughlin.

The jury trial is scheduled for June 19. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is prosecuting the case.
