Tennessee is the first U.S. state in the U.S. to implement a public registry tracking repeat domestic violence offenders

Last week, this news was reported but as usual did not receive more coverage and the kudos it deserves.

Tennessee is the first U.S. state in the U.S. to implement a public registry tracking repeat domestic violence offenders. Effective January 1, 2026 will identify individuals with multiple convictions for domestic abuse.

The registry was established under Savanna’s Law, named in honor of Savanna Puckett, a 22-year-old Robertson County sheriff’s deputy who was murdered in 2022 by an ex-boyfriend who history of stalking and violence was concealed.

California for all talk about protecting women put to shame by a "red state."
