I was right about Leach; the DA's office and the Public Defender's office need to own this failure and giving a joke of a plea deal to this repeat offender

Another repeat offender. 

James Albert Leach Jr who  Eureka Police Department is very familiar with was arrested yesterday for PC 1203.2(a) probation violation, VC 22348(b) driving over 100 miles per hour on a freeway and VC 23103(a) reckless driving. He was released  on O.R.

Leach broke into local attorney Allison Jackson's house with a firearm in each hand; he broke into Allison Arkley and Jeff Holland's home and EPD had to get a gun violence restraining order against him. 

I have covered Leach since 2023. You can read the last post I did which covers the joke of the plea deal given to him by the DA's office and negotiated by the Humboldt County Public Defender. Several cases for Leach were dismissed by the DA. At the time of sentencing, Retired Judge Christopher Wilson expressed "concerns about Leach's history."

I wrote "People agreeing to probation with a waiver of custody credits is a joke. A 10 year stay away order is meaningless given Leach's repeat behavior."
