Is EPD investigating alleged violation of PC 484 g by a female CO and male probation officer?

Just received a confidential tip. 

I am not going to put out all details I may or may not know because I want to see how Eureka Police Department, Humboldt County Sheriff and Probation handle my initial inquiry and how transparent they are. I may add more details later.

I was told that a few days ago, a woman CO and male probation officer allegedly used someone's else's card at McDonalds in Eureka. EPD is investigating alleged violation of PC 484 g, fraudelent use of a credit card. There maybe an explaination. There maybe no crime committed but without more information and a transparent, independent investigation, too early to tell. 

I am going to publicly state this specifically to Eureka City Manager Miles Slattery that if you make assumptions about my sources and jump to conclusions like you did last time and forbid EPD from talking to me, you are intefering with my ability to get information and reporting to the public. This is a small town, this happened in a public place. Do not assume who my sources are. 

If there is nothing to hide; then all of the department heads need to be as transparent as possible and release information to the public, according to the law. Initially, there may not be much you can state.
