Bayshore Mall in Eureka is owned by Brookfield Properties. Looks like vacancies, major retailers and restaurants leaving a mall isn't just a Humboldt issue.
Tenants have to vacate Westfield San Francisco Centre after ownership change. The mall’s new owner is an LLC known as DBJPM 2016-SFC Emporium. The new owners assumed control following a foreclosure auction on Nov. 12 that transferred the property away from its former operators, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and Brookfield Properties. The previous owners defaulted on the loan.
Just like Bayshore Mall, Panda Express will be the sole restaurant left at Westfield San Francisco Centre. Shake Shack is closing that location on December 18.
