"The Ferndale Police Department, and the city of Ferndale, proudly welcomes Sgt. Paul Craft to the team.  Sgt. Craft recently retired from the California Highway Patrol after 20 years of service, the last 17 out of the Arcata CHP office serving Humboldt County in many roles, the last eight as the Public Information Officer.  In the past, he also served parts of Humboldt County in his roles as a Hoopa Valley Tribal Police Officer and a member of the United States Coast Guard, where his first assignment (and introduction to Humboldt) was aboard the USCG Cutter Acushnet, which was stationed at the foot of Commercial St. in Eureka for many years.
