Court took matter under submission and will issue a written ruling on Wiyot Tribe motion to dismiss CBE lawsuit

 


Today, there was a hearing scheduled on the Wiyot motion to dismiss one of the lawsuits filed by Citizens for a Better Eureka. On February 27, The City of Eureka filed a Statement of Non-Opposition to the Wiyot Tribe’s Motion to Dismiss. The City of Eureka received the Citizens for a Better Eureka's Opposition to the Motion which was also filed on the same day. The Court took the matter under submission today, and will issue a written ruling. I

I have been covering this lawsuit as well as CBE lawsuits regularly. I rhave been the only one to report on the Wiyot's Tribe motion to dismiss as well as the Feb 27, 2024 filings. Court documents by all parties were included in previous coverage.

I will add court minutes when available and when I have time.
