Adina, your attack on me backfired, I was sent a lot of intel exposing you and Humboldt should read it before you waste Humboldt time and money like you did in Sonoma

Last week, I did this post. I got comments from everyone involved including City of Eureka, Councilmembers, Roy Gomez and Adina Flores. I did not have to add the disclaimer about the anonymous site about Flores but I would do that any anonymous site, especially with no evidence to back their claims. In the March 26 post, I wrote about a restraining order granted against one of Flores' ex which was requested by Sonoma County.

Adina's attempt to attack me backfired on her. I received a lot of intel on her from all over California. Now that Sonoma has kicked her to the curb and she has lost all credibility, Adina thinks she can come here and waste Humboldt's time. Some information I could verify, some information is there for you to look up yourself and come to your own conclusions.

Who is funding Adina? If anyone in or associated with Humboldt is behind Adina's stunts and focus on Humboldt, are they prepared to pay any legal and financial costs she may incur? Stirring up drama, requesting PRAs from counties she does not live in seems to be Adina's shtick. And this is based just on my own experience with Adina in less than a week.

Antivaxxer, transphobe, conspiracy theorist, stalker, homophobe, filing 160 FPPC complaints which the tipster claims were usually found without merit, 75 + PRAs, harassing supervisors, mayors, reporters and disparaging anyone who does not agree with her. Readers can look at all of what is provided in the emails sent to me and the irrelevant attacks on me by Adina and anyone can use google and come to their own determinations.

I don't know Adina but she seems to know information about me that is irrelevant to the coverage. Readers are making their own conclusions about Adina. I want to thank those of you who have reached out to me and expressed concern for my safety.

Humboldt already has resident nutcases, antivaxxers, racists, homophobes, transphobes and Kent Sawatzky filing PRAs that waste time and money. We don't need someone Sonoma kicked to the curb to come pollute Humboldt.

Roy Gomez responded to me about Adina and that response is included in the March 26 post. He has been very respectful to me and has never lashed out at me for my coverage. This is a message Roy sent to me after his response.

I received this email yesterday. This is not the ex involved in the Sonoma County request for a restraining order. You can read and access the case details yourself.

I was forwarded another email by someone. The identity of the original email is protected. It is a lengthy email and I am posting all of it except the Instagram links.

In my search so far, I have not found that Adina is an employee of the Immersive Learning Center but I did find information about her ex Shelby Dodson in a reference on a petition she posted https://www.change.org/p/sonoma-county-residents-stand-up-for-your-rights-before-you-find-yourself-unemployed and information where she was present at a meeting with other people associated with ILC.

"Hello, Mr. O’Rourke and Mr. Olsen:

I'm writing to you about Adina Flores, an employee at the Immersive Learning Center.

I don't know if you are aware of her bizarre, abusive history toward the Sonoma County community, so I’ll give a summarized overview, though this article covers some of it: https://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/news/investigators-or-stalkers-when-sonoma-county-citizen-activists-push-the/

During the pandemic, Adina, a widely known anti-vaxxer, demanded the County let businesses open back up and to stop providing vaccinations. When she didn't get her way, she started harassing County officials -- on social media, by email, and at board meetings.  She begged her friends to join in the harassment and got her partner, Shelby Dodson, involved as well.

During a county board meeting, Shelby threatened a county supervisor and his family, including threatening gun violence against the supervisor's 7-year old son.  https://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/news/county-secures-restraining-order-on-behalf-of-gore/

This made Adina even angrier, so she stepped up the harassment.  Below this email you can see a list of Instagram posts with Adina's comments on that supervisor's account. Also included are links with Adina’s harassing comments toward the Healdsburg Mayor.  Keep in mind these are just two of the dozens of people she harasses and only one of the several platforms she does it on. Also out of vengeance, she started digging into the judge who ordered the restraining order as well.

Adina met with the county’s communications manager about her concerns about vaccinations. She shoved a camera in his face to record him, yelled at him, filed FPPC complaints about him, did PRA requests to share his emails on social media, and slandered him – and continues every few weeks – for years after they ever spoke.

Adina and Shelby threatened the venue host of an event for requiring vaccinations to make them shut down the event and instead use Zoom. https://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/news/anti-vaccine-protesters-force-change-to-sonoma-county-supervisors-debate/  They celebrated the change and then joined the meeting on zoom and harassed all the speakers through the whole event.

Adina is widely known as a conspiracy theorist.  She has publicly accused Sonoma County elected officials of being part of the illuminati.  She has publicly accused the county orchestrated the fires to profit from PG&E, that the county orchestrated the pandemic to profit from Pfizer, that Maui orchestrated those fires, that a county supervisor’s campaign message that said “upward and onward” is a covert illuminati message, and many other crazy claims.  She has accused elected officials at all levels of money laundering, stealing from minorities, of being racist. She’s publicly accused dozens of community groups of money laundering if she can’t find their EIN with the Secretary of State. She publicly accused a local car dealership of money laundering just because they wouldn’t lower the price of the car Adina wanted.

Adina has created several online pages with false info and conspiracy theories, including a Facebook page, now deleted, to try to recall the board of supervisors, a blog https://sonomacountyscoop.blogspot.com/, multiple petitions to try to enact change, https://www.change.org/p/the-county-of-sonoma-is-endangering-lives // https://www.change.org/p/county-of-sonoma-cannabis-extortion, and a GoFundMe, now deleted, to raise funds to sue the county.  None of them were successful.

Adina carried out this harassment while working at Santa Rosa City Schools, receiving taxpayer funding.  SRCS put her on leave while they investigated and confirmed she was doing all of this while at work. They gave her a 600-page packet detailing her malfeasance and recommended her termination, so she took the option of resigning before that happened.  She later changed her story and claimed she was doing all of this on behalf of parents concerned with vaccinations. Because she's vengeful, she filed a wrongful termination complaint with the state, who encouraged mediation. She repeatedly falsely claims to be a protected whistleblower. She claimed she didn’t want money, just wanted her good name back, but that wasn’t true. She repeatedly publicly demanded a payout on social media and SRCS board meetings. SRSC offered her a settlement to make her go away. She claimed they offered her hush money and she turned it down, so apparently it wasn’t enough for her. The Press Democrat revealed she was demanding $100,000, even though her time-theft and harassment of local officials was well documented.

Adina has filed 160 FPPC complaints that usually get quickly rejected for having no merit.  Most of them are against people she has personal vendettas against. She publicly announces that these people are "under investigation by the state" to make them look bad, even though she's been told that's very misleading. And she never announces when her complaints get rejected.  She keeps mentioning she has X number of open investigations, even though there's no indication they have merit.  https://www.fppc.ca.gov/enforcement/complaint-and-case-information-portal.html

She's filed 75+ public records requests with the County, which have cost taxpayers $320,000!  Just so she can post screenshots of emails/documents on her social media and post a misleading caption to fit her conspiracy theories.  https://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/news/investigators-or-stalkers-when-sonoma-county-citizen-activists-push-the/

Adina applied to dozens of media outlets in an effort to be a journalist. She landed at California Globe, a right-wing website founded by a convicted stalker associated with Jared Kushner, as a contributor, but she called herself an “investigative journalist.” She wrote articles about the supervisor who got a restraining order against Shelby, Eden Housing who declined to hire Shelby for not being vaccinated, Santa Rosa City School board members who ousted her from her job, the head of the FPPC for rejecting 140 of her fake complaints. Everything she wrote was misleading, out of context, or false. Several of her articles link one organization/person to another to another to another to another to another to another and suggest there’s a nefarious conflict of interest because of that distant connection. She was dismissed from the California Globe for fabricating stories about people she has personal vendettas against.  https://californiaglobe.com/author/adina-flores/

Her harassment motivated someone to create a website about her:  https://adinafloresfacts.com/

And motivated a blogger to write about her:  https://zenniereport.com/2023/09/27/adina-flores-and-shelby-pryor-and-anger-and-threats-to-sonoma-county/

Shelby spoke at a SRCS board meeting and used racial slurs against a board member: https://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/news/santa-rosa-city-schools-board-member-dons-raccoon-mask-and-sign-in-response/ /// https://www.pressdemocrat.com/article/opinion/pd-editorial-putting-civility-back-in-civic-discourse/  A local council member simply offered support of that board member, and Adina openly announced that she was targeting that council member for it, and continued harassing him for months since then. He didn't even say anything to/about her or Shelby:  https://www.facebook.com/ChrisRogersCA/posts/10109911556682787

Adina has publicly accused several dozen nonprofit organizations of money laundering just because she can't find their documentation with the Secretary of State.  She harasses them by email and on social media.

Any response she gets from these officials and organizations, or if she doesn't get any, she claims it's because she's a minority woman.  She publicly accuses everyone she disagrees with as being racist.

Adina tries to portray herself as a hero. She posts videos claiming she’s doing all of this to help people and doing god’s work, posting scriptures and memes that support her actions and her mindset. However, she’s also created fake social media accounts to harass people.  And calls mayors, county supervisors’ wives, and journalists “c*nt,” devil, and many other horrible names.  She posts many homophobic and transphobic remarks on social media.  She has received stay-away orders from many organizations and blocked by many people/organizations on social media.  Despite harassing dozens and dozens of people/organization, she also consistently portrays herself as a victim of anyone mentions her.

Adina keeps challenging people -- reporters, elected officials, or anyone she disagrees with – to debate against her live, because she wants to prove she knows better than everyone else.  Nobody wants to speak with or have anything to do with a mentally unstable conspiracy theorist – they just want her to leave them alone.

Part of Adina’s motivation seems to be her ego. She brags when the Press Democrat calls her a prominent activist, boasts about her following, claims to be the largest whistleblower in California and the biggest local activist, etc.  She loves getting likes and comments to feed her ego.

REQUEST FOR YOU

Adina continues to harass, stalk, and slander people while working at the Immersive Learning Center. There are hundreds of timestamps of her social media posts, comments on others' profiles, and emails that show she's doing this during her work hours.  It seems like a very reasonable request to ask you to not permit her time-theft any longer – for her not to harass, stalk, and slander people during work hours and actually focus on work that benefits the Immersive Learning Center.  This would at least give these people some relief from her abusive behavior while she's working. If the time she can carry out her abusive behavior is limited to outside of work hours, she’d likely be doing a lot less of it.

Thank you for your assistance.

The entire Sonoma County community

I also received another email (have removed the name of the person who sent it to me but it is addressed to the California Globe and to the Press Democrat. I am not printing the entire email exchange, just the first email.

Adina wrote to me that she is a former Globe contributor. I am following up on why she left and will update if the Globe will respond. The Globe has no phone number.

Hi Katy,

That email and those questions were addressed to you, not to Adina.  A signature line would in fact not change your answers to those questions, but I can understand why you’re too embarrassed with Adina’s behavior and your association with her to answer those questions.

That email came from someone on the long list of dozens of community members that Adina has harassed, not from someone she's written about for the California Globe. I had reached out to that long list and suggested they share their experience with Adina to the Press Democrat or Globe, or that I could pass that info along so they can remain anonymous. Considering Adina becomes obsessed with, harasses, stalks, and slanders anyone she has a disagreement with, anonymity is critical.  And you already knew about those behaviors.

In fact, in response to that last email you forwarded to Adina, she posted transphobic messages toward someone with Indivisible Petaluma -- someone not behind that email or this email addresses, along with “fuck around and find out” threats. Very dangerous considering how violent your target audience is toward the trans community.  And she also blamed a SRCS board member for some reason I don't understand.

Your suggestion for meaningful discussion with Adina comes off as disingenuous as well due to her extensive history of harassing and slandering anyone she disagrees with.

For example, take the county’s comms manager who tried to speak with her about vaccinations. She shoved a camera in his face to record him, yelled at him, filed FPPC complaints about him, did PRA requests to share his emails on social media, and slandered him – and continues every few weeks – for years after they even talked.  Does this sound like meaningful discussion?

Take the SR council member, who simply offered support to his friend and SRCS board member after Adina’s partner Shelby’s racist attack, and Adina openly announced she was targeting him, and continued harassing him for months since then.  He didn’t even say anything to/about her or even really about her partner.

Take the dozens and dozens of other elected people and organizations she has harassed in various ways.

It’s quite obvious there’s no reasoning with her, so no, meaningful discussion with her is not realistic at all.

I have some legitimate, sincere concerns and questions that I will express more respectfully than the last email forwarded in hope of meaningful discussion:

Reputable media sources don’t let reporters cover topics that they have conflicts with. And when there is even a perception of conflict, they’re open about it.  For instance, when the Press Democrat writes about its owners, they clearly state that relationship.  You allow Adina to write articles about people she openly has personal vendettas against.  A county supervisor for getting a restraining order against her partner. The SRCS board for pushing her out of her job. The head of the FPPC for rejecting 100+ of her fake complaints. How do you justify even allowing her to cover these topics and people when she’s very open about having personal vendettas against them?

Everything she writes is intentionally misleading.  For example, Adina has written multiple Globe articles that mention FPPC complaints, failing to mention that she’s the person to submit the FPPC complaints – and never mentioning when they’re rejected.  Multiple people have pointed this out to her, but the articles remain unchanged. Another -- several of her articles link one organization/person to another to another to another to another to another to another and suggest there’s a nefarious conflict of interest because of that distant connection. The problem is, everything she writes is just as misleading as this.  Reputable media outlets report news, but she’s making news.

Almost nothing she writes about is unknown to local journalists, but it’s not covered because it’s fabricated news. For you to publish her articles, and from your site in general, it seems like you’ll post anything that criticizes Democrats or progressive ideologies.

It’s widely known that Adina is a conspiracy theorist with her social media posts about elected officials being part of the illuminati, that the government started the local wildfires for profit, etc. She’s accused elected officials at all levels of money laundering, stealing from minorities, of being racist. She’s publicly accused dozens of community groups of money laundering if she can’t find their EIN with the state. Do you believe all these conspiracy theories and accusations?  Because she uses the Globe to legitimize her crazy beliefs on social media. She might not publish the craziest beliefs outright on the Globe’s site, but she’s still connecting them to the Globe. For instance, she posted on an elected official’s social post, “you’re stealing from minorities” and then linked her article that didn’t prove that, but shared some vague distance connections that suggest that.

She regularly uses the Globe’s name while conducting her harassment and stalking.  You are complicit in the harassment for publishing her content.  Besides encouraging her behavior by publishing her content, have you encouraged her in other ways to harass, stalk, and slander people?  Have you ever discouraged her from this abusive behavior?  Have you ever in any way suggested that her abusive behavior is not conducive to effective reporting?

If you’re genuinely open to meaningful discussion, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the conflicts of interest with her article subjects, the intentionally misleading articles, legitimizing conspiracy theories/false accusations, and encouraging abusive behavior.  If you’re genuinely open to meaningful discussion, I trust you won’t forward to someone with a history of harassment to threaten random people over this email. Thank you."
