The Great Redwoods Trail Friends coalition is investigating historical public use of a property owned by a good ole boy supported by Rex and Bushnell

This is an example of one email sent out by Karen Underwood from Humboldt Trails Council. One of the actions suggested was to forward it to other people. "They're having a hard time reaching out to people," is what I was told. As the subject line states: "2nd Round Request."

Wonder how much of that has to do with the good ole boy owner having the support of two Humboldt County Board of Supervisors?

Another concerned Humboldt resident added this context,

"Kelly Patton currently owns the property and believes he can keep the public out. He put up fences to keep people out of an area that they’ve been historically using for over 75 years And have a right to continue to use since the county has maintained the road and there’s also legal public access to the river up to the high watermark. Patton has the support of First District good ole boy Rex Bohn and Second District good ole gal Michelle Bushnell. He also currently tried to get on the planning commission. Glad he didn’t make it."

Bushnell appointed Patton to Fish and Game Advisory Commission despite being an active issue and concerns from the public.
