54 year old Burt Carl Coffelt was arrested yesterday by HCSO for PC 261(a)(1) sexual intercourse with a victim unable to consent due to an intellectual disability, PC 236 false imprisonment and PC 287(g) oral copulation with a victim incapable of consent due to a mental disorder or developmental or physical disability.
He has 7 closed cases in the Humboldt Superior Court system.
3/27: Arraigned, bail at $100,000, protective order served, Public Defender appointed by Judge Lawrence Killoran. OR/bail on 3/29; preliminary hearing on 4/9.
3/29: OR bail continued by court to 4/2.
4/2: Supervised release denied by Judge Lawrence Killoran; status changed to no bail. Modified protective order served.
4/9: Preliminary hearing continued to 5/20 by defense.
