April Van Dyke starts with a 61.04 % lead, Watson write in got zero

 



First election night report is out. 17097 votes.

Humboldt Superior Court Judge:

April Van Dyke 61.04 %

Gregory Kreis 38.96

Jessica Watson (last minute write in candidate) 0

8:44 p.m.: Ms. Van Dyke said she is "cautiously optimistic."

Second District Supervisor:

Jeana McClendon 36.09

Michelle Bushnell 58.24

Brian Roberts 5.67


First District Supervisor:

Rex Bohn 63.70

Gordon Clatworthy 24.66

Gerald McGuire 11.64

9:16: Brenda Elvine, Gregory Kreis' ex wife and his former friend attorney Joann Carter just arrived at the April Van Dyke party. Carter is the former friend mentioned in the CJP proceedings. Several more people stopped by and are still arriving including more colleagues from Conflict Counsel, local attorney Kathleen Bryson and Van Dyke campaign manager James Kloor.

Brenda Elvine left after the second night election report. She hugged Ms. Van Dyke and said, "I am so happy for you sweetheart." This is the first time Ms. Van Dyke and Brenda Elvine had met in person.

9:42 p.m. Second election report. Basically the same with 17, 718 votes counted.

Ms. Van Dyke said," I am very thankful for people who were behind me from the beginning. I had a great team of grassroot supporters. I thank my parents and kids for putting up with the long hours of my campaign."




10:12: Eureka Councilmember Mario G. Fernandez showed up.

10:32: Third election night posted. Results the same with about 18, 233 votes counted. 






11:47 Final election night report. 20, 258 votes. Results still the same.
