April Van Dyke maintains significant lead, Watson gets even fewer write ins and details on how many votes are left

(April Van Dyke)

The second post election update shows the newest addition to the Humboldt Superior Court is Judge April Van Dyke maintaining her significant lead with 59.88% and the number of votes she is leading has doubled.

I reached out to Ms. Van Dyke. "I am immensely grateful to the voters of Humboldt County for their trust and confidence in me. I am eager to begin the important work of implementing equitable and thoughtful justice in our community," said Ms. Van Dyke.

Kreis percentage went down in this report and the .38 % imcrease for Watson hurt Kreis so the plan by the Kreis and Watson enablers backfired.

There were fewer write ins for Jessica Watson and I expect that trend to continue. I even said that to a Watson supporter and others at the courthouse before today.

I don't expect scandal ridden, incompetent Gregory Kreis and spoiler Watson to congratulate Ms. Van Dyke because they are childish, petty and unprofessional. It doesn't matter because they are irrelevant.

The grumpy faces at the courthouse from Kreis endorsers and enablers and Watson supporters say it all. Many of these people supported failed candidates Ben McLaughlin, Adrian Kamada and Elan Firpo. The legal arrogant bubble in the courthouse means nothing.

I don't care that Kreis needs the money; he deserves to be broke, homeless and unable to get a job. That would be justice for the lives he has ruined and continues to destroy. His enablers should suffer because they have yet to denounce him.

Kreis needs to step down because he will lose with the CJP just like he did this election. He is continuing to ruin lives in the courtroom and he was never worthy of the robe and was a lous, petty attorney. He is the biggest joke in the Humboldt halls of injustice. In this post, I no longer refer to him as Judge because he has been fired by the voters. Reluctantly, I will use that title in coverage of court cases.

I am still getting contacted by people about cases prior to the CJP notice of formal proceedings. Kreis hasn't learned his lesson from the feedback I am getting from some parties in his courtroom. There are many arrogant losers in Humboldt but Kreis is the dumbest.

This morning when I checked with Clerk, Recorder and Registrar of Voters Juan Cervantes, this second post election update was going to add approximately 5,000 to 6,000 more ballots to the total count.

"The elections office has another approximately 12,000 ballots to process, which includes challenged ballots. The elections office received significantly more election day ballots than previously estimated; that number is approximately 17,750 ballots and mostly through drop boxes," Mr. Cervantes told me this morning.

About 50% of the registered voters for a primary election. That interest was definitely due to the judge's race and Measure A.

No change in First or Second District Supervisor races.
