Judge Timothy Canning does not mince words in his ruling against former Arcata City Councilmember Brett Watson.
On March 17, Judge Canning's granted the request by City of Arcata to make Watson's restraining order permanent. Judge Canning's ruling states that Watson did not comply with the temporary restraining order until he was arrested for violating it. Watson's stalking behavior and emotional abuse is mentioned in the written ruling.
Watson is out of custody. His hearing in the probation violation case is still scheduled for April 11.
