For the second time, a judge denied J.D. Grow's 17 (b) motion to reduce the charge to a misdemeanor in his 2016 case. On March 2, the motion denied by Judge Steven Steward. The last time in January, it was Judge Kaleb Cockrum who denied the 17 (b) motion without prejudice.Judge Cockrum also denied Grow's request for expungement and dismissal.
Grow's attorney is Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin. Deputy DIstrict Attorneys Luke Bernthal and Carolyn Schaffer appeared for People.
