Since my last post on local attorney Victor Campos and his co-defendant, Kyle Cross, there has been weekly developments, mostly for Campos.
On 3/15, there was an in-camera hearing on PC 1524 (c) 2 was held. Deputy Public Defender David Nims filed a 977 waiver of personal appearance for Campos. On 3/15, Campos was booked for the SWAP program.
PC 1524 (c) (2) pertains to a special procedure that must be followed if sought property is held by an attorney, doctor, psychotherapist, or member of the clergy.
On 4/5, a hearing on motion for return of property has been by the Public Defender's office for Campos.
Another motion is filed by Conflict Counsel. Since that office represents Cross, it should have been listed in Cross' case but it shows up under documents in Campos' case. The second motion is for an in camera hearing to determine attorney/client privilege of seized items.
4/5: Motion hearing continued to 4/12 the same day setting of preliminary hearing is scheduled.
4/12: Motion hearing in Campos' case and setting of preliminary hearing in both cases continued to 4/19 by stipulation.
