In December 2021, 21 year old Basir Ali Jama was arrested by HSU PD for PC 148.4(a), false fire alarm or false report of a fire. This is a felony and Jama was released on O.R.
The DA charged Jama with two counts of PC 653 x (a) making annoying 911 calls in one case and in another case with one count of PC 148.4(a), false fire alarm or false report of a fire and one count of PC 653 x (a) making annoying 911 calls.
On 7/27/22, Jama was given the opportunity for diversion. There is a 12 month diversion hearing and a motion to consolidate both cases on 7/27/23.
Someone unidentified and unverified with no explaination or way on who this person maybe emailed me asking me to take the post about her arrest down and is under the delusion that this case has resolved.
Jama has been granted an opportunity for diversion. It is yet to be seen if she successfully completes the requirements. If she does, then an update with court records will be added about the case. Just like any other case granted diversion. Just like any other arrest and resolution or outcome in a case.
She was arrested, that post is valid. There is no reason to take it down. Most of my readers and most people know how the criminal justice system works. This explaination is specifically for whoever sent me that email from an unverified address and who doesn't understand the law or reporting.
