When I first started doing court coverage, it was Judge Marilyn Miles, Judge John Feeney, Judge Dale Reinholtsen and Judge Timothy Cissna. Judge Christopher Wilson is the only one left from that group and he is retiring soon.
I like being in Assistant Presiding Judge Kelly Neel and Judge Kaleb Cockrum's courtrooms. I have a lot of respect for both of them.
Other than I wish we could just have Retired Judge Miles, Judge Feeney and Judge Reinholtsen return. I know they won't be back full time. They deserve to enjoy their retirement.
We are lucky we have local, retired Judges who step in to help when current Judges are on vacation or at conferences or classes. Seeing Judge Miles and Judge Feeney this week at the Courthouse reminded me what a difference decorum, efficiency and experience makes in the courtroom.
