Aaron Arlotta was arrested on February 16 by the Fortuna Police Department on a bench warrant. I did a post on him in 2017 about his failure to appear, bench warrants and criminal history.
He was in court today for arraignment in a wheelchair. Arlotta looks quite different than he did in 2017. He no longer has long hair.
Arlotta was arraigned on a petition for alleged probation violation and in the 2022 case, Count 1 resisting an executive officer and Count 2 possession of fentanyl with special allegation of a serious felony conviction.
There is a no bail hold in the probation case. Retired Judge John Feeney set bail in the amount of $75,000 in the other case.
Conflict Counsel's office was reappointed to represent Arlotta. Referral was made for a supervised release report.
OR/bail scheduled for February 22. Preliminary hearing for March 3.
2/22: OR/bail continued to 2/23 by defense.
2/23: OR/supervised release denied. March 3 next court date for both cases.
3/3: 3/3 Probation violation revocation hearing and preliminary hearing in fentanyl case continued to 3/7 by defense because his attorney is sick.
3/7: Defense motion to continue granted. Defense waiting for body cam footage. New date is 4/6.
