The latest development in Paul Leslie vs County of Humboldt, Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and Ian Hoffman is a demurrer filed by the County on 1/18/22. Mr. Nicholas Kloeppel is representing all three County respondents.
The petitioner, Leslie, is represented by Ms. Allison Jackson. Leslie is opposing the demurrer.
There is a hearing scheduled on 2/18 on the demurrer to petition for declaratory relief and writ of mandate which has already been continued to 2/25 because no judge, no courtroom is available on February 18.
Money must be tight because the County actually hired a local lawyer. And this is before the tax breaks and forgiveness for pot growers.
