One more special allegation added for Pamela Millsap for jury trial


Pamela Millsap was arraigned on information this morning. Court livestream was not either not working or due to some other issue, court started almost half an hour late.

In the complaint for the jury trial, Millsap is charged in Count 1 with PC 192 (a), voluntary manslaughter. Count 2 is PC 273 (a) (a), child abuse/endangerment with a special allegation PC 12022.7 (a) causing great bodily injury. Count 3 is PC 273 a (a), child abuse/endangerment with special allegation, PC 12022.5 (a), using a firearm in the commission of a crime.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Jane Mackie appeared for Ms. Timm.

Deputy Conflict Counsel April Van Dyke is Millsap's attorney.

After the preliminary hearing,  Millsap was held to answer on the following charges: Count 1 with voluntary manslaughter of John Doe; her 17 year old son. Count 2 with child abuse; alleged victim is John Doe. Count 3  with child abuse; alleged victim is her 10 year old daughter Jane Doe and a special allegation that she personally used a firearmduring the commission of the crime; a shotgun.

Trial confirmation August 3; jury trial August 31.
