"She has to be physically present for that submission."



Certification of competency  was scheduled for Jacquelyn Bradley today. She is still at Napa State Hospital. Judge Timothy Canning said he was not sure when transport of inmates to jails would resume.

Last December, Jacquelyn Bradley was ordered by Judge Timothy Canning to be committed to the State Hospital for an in patient treatment program. Bradley retained her right to refuse anti-psychotic meds.

On April 24, there was a hearing about her PC 1368 status. Bradley has been deemed competent to stand trial by the State Hospital.

Her attorney Ms. Andrea Sullivan and Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees submitted on the certification today.

Ms. Sullivan said, "She has to be physically present for that submission." Judge Canning agreed. Ms. Sullivan will into the possibility of a Zoom appearance.

Bradley has three cases. One was a 2019 burglary case after she allegedly broke into an EPD officer's house. Charges for her other 2019 case is driving with a suspended/revoked  license. Charge for her 2018 case is alleged violation of parole.

Confirmation of transport and receipt of report scheduled for June 23.

6/3 update: Bradley was transported back and booked into Humboldt County jail today.
