Cal Fire engines are covering Humboldt bay Fire station 1 and the rest of firefighters are going to the fire. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within 20 minutes.

On November 5th at 2117 hrs, Humboldt Bay Fire responded with 3 engines, 1 truck and 1 chief officer to a reported Commercial Structure Fire @ 3900 Broadway St.
The first arriving engine reported an exterior fire that was extending into the building. Firefighters had to force entry into the building through a chain link fence and large sliding doors to gain access to the interior of the building. The fire was controlled in 20 minutes and damage is estimated at $10,000.
There were no firefighter or civilian injuries and crews remained on scene for approximately an hour and a half.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
