Verdict is in in the Eric Lively case; he is charged with the death of Jesse Simpson

Eric Lively was charged with the murder of Jesse Simpson. The jury was given other options. They started jury deliberations around 2 p.m. on January 31. The jury of 8 women and four men announced they had reached a verdict around 4:20 p.m.

Lively was found guilty of a lesser charge;  second degree murder. Sentencing is on March 7. Lively did not show any visible emotion as the verdict was read.

Deputy District Attorney Adrian Kamada prosecuted the case. Mr. Russ Clanton represented Lively.

I did not cover the jury trial for Lively but I did some coverage of the case prior to the trial.
