Kattie Yocum pleads to "unlawful causing of fire" of the Blue Heron



People made an offer to Kattie Yocum at the last court hearing. Her jury trial is scheduled for November 13. There were more discussions this morning and then lengthy discussions between Yocum and her attorney, including about five minutes in a holding cell. At one point, she said "Fuck".

Eventually, Yocum plead no contest to an added count 2 : "unlawful causing of fire" to a structure, PC 452 (c), and admitted violation of parole. Her misdemeanor case was dismissed. The range of sentencing for pc 452 (c) is 16 months, two years or three years. Sentencing is December 11.


Yocum was charged with arson of the Blue Heron.

Deputy Public Defender Brie Bennett was appointed to represent Yocum. Deputy District Attorney Adrian Kamada is prosecuting this case.

  1. Get this thing away from doing more public and material harm. Look'm and throw the keys away. Where's a judge with cahonnes or a vjj that can stop backpeddling,liberalizing,and feeling "remorse(boo hoo)" for the perp?
