"You made your choice; now I'll make mine."

 

I have 14 Humboldt court criminal cases and 12 Humboldt civil cases to update before next week. Some from last week and some from this week. The criminal cases are mostly minor updates. Some of those cases are now continued to Monday at the last minute after multiple continuances this week. 

I am done with this continued chaos that Humboldt Superior Court is creating and refuses to fix. I should not have to check the same case for ridiculous reasons multiple times a week and multiple hearings consecutively. Everyone at Humboldt Superior Court gets paid a salary or by the hour. I do not and unlike the Humboldt judges and the rest of the Humboldt criminal justice system; I don't believe in the inmates running the asylum.

I have not decided which, if any, will be new posts. I haven't decided what I am going to do and when I will finish updating or posting. What I do know is I am not working non stop and all weekend to catch up which is what has been going on for months. 

These are cases of interest, no one else is covering most of them or regularly. My advertisers, subscribers and contributors have the information, live and in person.

I pay attention to what my readers are responding to and adjust content accordingly. Humboldt Superior Court  dragging out cases for years with multiple continuances for the inane reasons is a waste of time for me and my readers. 

I recently spoke with my current advertisers, potential advertisers and those who subscribe and contribute and many of my loyal readers.

Just as you as a reader have choices; I do as well. Those who value me and know all the reasons to read me don't need any explainations. Those of you who haven't read or ignored what I have said for months and years have shown you will not  put any effort or change so I won't waste my time.

Starting today, you will not necessarily see changes nor am I going to tell you what I am doing so other media and those who have consistently tried to shut me down and silenced me have that information.

My long term advertisers and subscribers will not be affected. My short term advertisers and those who made a one time contribution have until the end of July 2026 to decide if they want to continue receiving customized benefits which I tailor to each individual and business.

To the rest, if you are not investing in me or my advertisers; you have a choice to start today. Or do not contact me with questions, promises of what you may do and don't ask me for anything.

I have a readership in Humboldt and outside Humboldt. I have a one on one interaction with most of my readers. My advertisers and I do not benefit from likes and comments from criminals, people sitting at home who do not spend money and people who  have no influence or power. Those who do read me, follow me, pay attention. Whether they like me or not; they read me and make changes and respond. Ultimately results matter. Unlike other media, I do not need a site or platform to reach people. I can and I do individually interact with people and they listen. 

I have exclusives, scoops, my court coverage is unique and includes 12 years of experience in Humboldt. I have reported in another places and states decades ago which included courts. 

I will still follow court cases and I will still do live coverage but you may or may not get notifications, those exclusives or live updates. I do not need to sit and waste time in the stinky, dirty local courts for 20, 30, 40 continuances and minor updates daily and not make money. I don't need to go weeks non stop 24/7 with people bothering me when I try and sit down for a cup of coffee or something to eat after a long day or postpone taking care of my health.

I have skills and talent. I need to make money. My advertisers deserve the recognition and investment from you. I chose and am selective about who I promote.

Just an ad sitting on a site does not get business. Just a flyer or a call does not get votes. I have information that never gets posted on the various platforms I use which is beneficial to politicians, businesses, lawyers and the community. That is in addition to what I do post. All of Humboldt gains from my work and many have profited because I keep access free.

I need to pay my bills. I need money for expenses associated with my work. I need to get back the money Humboldt has cost me, prevented me from making and the money I could have made but many in Humboldt took advantage of me while others have blacklisted and badmouthed me out of pettiness and retaliation.

Those who have been there for me have done so without my asking. They have tried referrals and told people why they should work with me. The obstacle to that monetization is Humboldt fear and cowardice. 

These people get access to me, my time and to ask questions. The rest of you get nothing , anymore. You took for free and gave nothing. 

Even if you decide to pay now; I don't trust you and you don't get to make demands. You have to prove yourself.

Comments will remain restricted until there are specific changes from Humboldt readers. You know why they are restricted. I need to focus on my work. I need to be safe. I do not tolerate abuse.

If you decide after this post to unfollow me, not read me, go ahead. You are not someone I want as a reader. You are definitely not someone I will do business with or promote.

If you think anyone else will give you what I do, for free, daily and do it unpaid; forget for 12 years; let's see how long they last. I won't be losing anything other than users, drama and stress.

While I am based in Humboldt and my content is primarily Humboldt because I am physically here; I have expanded what I cover.

Interacting with people who are not from Humboldt is positive. They appreciate and thank me and not just with words.

I am very fortunate to have the advertisers I do including my past advertisers. The lawyers who support me I am very grateful to because they have stood by me. The business comunity needs to have some cajones.

Starting today, whether it is advertiser, subscriber or contributor, my rates are not negotiable. I gave people a chance and I was willing to work with your budget.

I will not respond to anyone not willing to pay and I will not respond to how much is it and then never hear back. Make a initial payment for that first inquiry so I know you are serious.

I have already stopped responding to people who ignore my boundaries and requirements.

For the price of a couple cups of coffee a day or one lunch, you can contribute towards my work per month. All of you in Humboldt can afford to support me. You chose not to for a variety of reasons but mostly because you are selfish and users.

Most of you see me everyday. Some of you could make at least a one time contribution. There are those who have and that gesture is appreciated.

This is a business. You need to pay for the product and the service. Depending on what you pay; allows you reasonable access to my time and individual customized benefits.
