Jenna Moore
HCSO Undersheriff JD Braud and Det. Shane Steele
Several media outlets are here for the HCSO press conference on the Miranda's Rescue investigation. I am not necessarily going to post the entire press conference live but any live updates will be on the blog. I can give you one exclusive. Ms. Allison Jackson is here for the press conference.
I am seated in the front row besides Ms. Jackson, Lost Coast Outpost Ryan Burns and Jenna Moore.
Sheriff William Honsal, HCSO Erin Inskip and an interpreter
Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal made his entrance at 2:04.
2:07 p.m. There is no new information so far that has not been covered via HCSO press releases and updates.
2:27 p.m..Sheriff Honsal said at this time there are no plans to go back to the property "but that could change" said Sheriff Honsal depending on evidence and if so, they would get another search warrant.
Sheriff Honsal said Shannon Miranda is free to come and go. Shannon has been cooperative.
Sheriff Honsal was evasive when asked if the investigation would be impacted by what was collected by the two women who trespassed. Their names are in the first search warrant. They have bragged it about online and in interviews so their identity is known. He said that is up to prosecution.
It took Sheriff Honsal long enough to say this will not be decided by the public but a court of law. Been there, said that before Sheriff Honsal
and it will be ignored by the drama queens who live for their daily dose of harassing, smearing and going after anyone who is not doing their bidding.
2:43 p.m. Press conference has concluded.
The press conference was a waste of time. An update would have sufficed but it would not have given Sheriff Honsal the chance to stand up in front of the media and look important and more photo ops.
Some of the other media asked questions but the good ones were by the KQED reporter and North Coast Journal's Kimberly Wear.
You can watch Sheriff Honsal's responses to those questions and come to your own conclusions.
Ms. Jackson is an attorney and providing consultation to Shannon Miranda and Miranda's Rescue which I reported this weekend.
As predicted, Rex Bohn was there. Besides his usual attention squeaking guffaw as he went back to the Courthouse when no one else was around, thankfully we were spared Rex chiming in and he let Sheriff Honsal take the spotlight.
I was not aware that Jenna Moore had press credentials. She was glued to the KQED reporter and walked out with her. To have one of the complaining parties there during a press conference when a big deal was made about only allowing credentialed press is another indication of special treatment given by Sheriff Honsal to Jenna Moore.
Now for the tea which Humboldt readers have shown is their preference over facts.
Before the press conference, I was wondering how long it would take Jenna Moore to say something to or about me. Jenna made a remark, not directly to me, saying something like maybe my deputy boyfriend will show up. And then Jenna said, ask John. I responded, "I see who has been two timing me." The two timing is to the weasel who ran to Jenna Moore.
I am flattered Jenna that you pay attention to what I write; you know with all the press courting you and giving you daily coverage.
Early on after one of my posts on the Miranda's Rescue investigation, Miranda Hayes made a comment on her Facebook page that Jenna was dating "a sheriff." I figured she meant deputy.
I asked three people if they knew anything. It is a legitimate concern given Jody Honsal's involvement and commenting on Jenna Moore's posts on Miranda's Rescue. If it was just a Facebook rumor, then Jenna Moore doesn't deserve to have gossip spread around. Considering what Jenna and her pitchfork mob have said out of me out of spite; I did not have to spend time finding out rumor or truth.
Two said no. One said he would check it out. How did Jenna find out about it? I know who the two faced squealer is and it only confirms for me what a gossip this person is and not to be trusted.
