The photo of Kody Marcelli above is a amateur MMA fighter profile that shows up in a google search as does a listing for tree trimmer/general laborer. I have no idea what he is doing now nor is the status of his career of any interest to me.
I covered Kody Marcelli in 2018. The screenshots included in this post do not include all my coverage on the 2018 case. Ms. Heidi Wells represented him in the 2018 case in which he was convicted of assault.
Another local family that gave me grief for covering a legitimate case. See the screenshots for what Humboldt Superior Court Judge Kaleb Cockrum said to Marcelli.
I saw his he was arrested for DUI in 2026 by CHP and decided to follow up if and when charges were filed. The Humboldt County DA filed charges on 5/29/26. In addition to the DUI and high blood alcohol counts which each have special allegations, Marcelli is charged with hit and run resulting in property damage.
Marcelli was scheduled to be arraigned this morning. I will add an update from that hearing when court minutes are available.
